The Chief Clerk called the roll. The House observed a moment of silence in memory of Henry Topel at the request of Representative Brady.
A prayer was offered by Representative Gerald L. Brady, Fourth Representative District.
Fourth grade students from St. Ann’s School joined Mr. Speaker Schwartzkopf in leading those present in the pledge of allegiance to the American flag.

HCR 59 - RECOGNIZING JUNE 15, 2014, AS "DELAWARE ELDER ABUSE AWARENESS DAY."
Representative Longhurst made comments.
HCR 59 was adopted by voice vote and was sent to the Senate for concurrence.
Representative D.E. Williams requested that he be marked present.
Representative Longhurst deferred to Representative Potter. Representative Potter requested and was granted privilege of the floor for himself and Representatives Bolden,
B. Short, D.E. Williams and Heffernan to present a House Tribute to the Brandywine High School Girls 4x200 Relay Champions. Asya Copeland, Team Captain, addressed the House. Representative Longhurst made comments. Representative Heffernan addressed the House.
Representative Longhurst deferred to Representative Brady. Representative Brady requested and was granted privilege of the floor to present a House Tribute to Miss Sheila O'Callaghan in recognition of the sixtieth anniversary of her teaching career. Miss O’Callaghan addressed the House. Mr. Speaker Schwartzkopf made comments. Representative M. Smith requested that she be marked present.
The Majority Leader moved to recess for committee meetings and to the call of the Chair at 2:23 p.m.
